Where can I find information on traditional Māori jewellery?

Our librarians at AnyQuestions found it difficult to find much info on the internet about traditional Māori jewellery.  So to make your search easier - here’s our best tip...

1. Go to the Te Papa Museum homepage

2. Click on the page called Collections Online: Kohinga Ipurangi

7. Type "Māori adornment" into the search box and click ‘search' 

8. Look at the dates on the images to find pre-European and modern Māori jewellery

Using Te Ara Encyclopedia of New Zealand we found a couple of links too.   With the search words “Māori jewellery”, we found a page about Implements and adornment (part of Pounamu – jade or greenstone):
